Our Weakness is our Biggest USP!

We were sitting around in our office on a Friday evening talking about our weaknesses and we counted them in our fingers:

1. We are a small company
2. We are still unknown to many people
3. We don’t have big bucks (for massive advertisements to change point 2)
4. We don’t run an assembly line
5. And so on…

When the discussion was turning a little depressing, someone shouted excitedly and said, “Hey! aren’t these also the reasons why we are what we are?” 

“Really?” everyone else must have thought that at the same time.

“Ok! Ok! Let me explain,” he said rather enthusiastically. “See we are small, therefore we attend to each and every customer’s need personally. We are unknown to people and therefore, we make sure our products talk for themselves and are never a letdown. And since we don’t have big bucks for massive advertisements we spent all our time, effort, energy and money is doing what we are best doing at – that is designing invisible beds. ” He elaborated happily. “Besides, we can create customized invisible bed based on our customers’ specific requirements only because we don’t run an assembly shop.” He concluded.

Ah! now that’s so true!

What our customers need from us is not only an efficient space management system, but a supremely safe one as well. After all, it’s their family – children, parents, wife or husband, who will be using them all the time. Would they risk it, if they thought even for a moment that our solutions could be risky?

We remembered that we had still not launched our product after 8 months of being ready with it because we wanted to be 100% sure that what we take out of our factory is the best thing that we could produce – in terms of quality, durability, safety and functionality.

How we make sure of that?

Well, to begin with our Invisible beds have Hydraulic Lift Assist System Certified by TUV, the global leader in technical, safety and certification services, based out of Germany. We give 10-years warranty for our Hydraulics Lift Assist System with free replacement during these years and zero maintenance  cost.

All components are fabricated in-house under strict quality supervision by using branded hardware.

The Locking systems for our Invisible beds come with maximum safety measures.

We source our basic raw material  - well-calibrated 18mm plywood - and Greenply MDF, the market leader in India, use T-nuts for joiners and give 3 years warranty for wood structure.

Therefore, an Invisible Bed can take up to 250 kgs of load while in use and can be disassembled and assembled as many times as may be required by the client, while at the same time providing the safest solution available in the market – making it safe even for your children.

After all, our invisible bed is just like the conventional bed when it is not used in its ‘space saving’ mode :)

That’s lot of technology with strict adherence to quality and a combined dedication and effort of a team that wants to do something extraordinary and different.

So, is our weakness our biggest USP? Most certainly it is, until the time we may become complacent and give up on our dream of changing the way how Indians manage their living space. Now, can that ever happen? Absolutely not!

Hey! I got two playrooms at Home!

This is not the story of Mr. Unnikrishnan Chakyat.

This is about his vision; about how he transformed two of his bedrooms in his 3BHK apartment, into an efficient and smart space, keeping in mind the diversified objectives that these bedrooms are expected to serve. Ok! that sounds complicated ! Let’s break that down J

Mr. Unnikrishnan lives in a 3BK upscale apartment with his wife and his little girl. At the moment, Mr. Unnikrishnan  and his small family of three share the master bedroom, as his daughter is still too young to stay separately. However, as a prudent father, he knows that she would very soon need her own living space and he wanted to be absolutely ready when that moment comes.

Also, in the meantime, as small child, the daughter needs to have sufficient space to play within the house and stay within their sight. Yes, the modern apartment complexes these days do have playing areas for children, but nothing beats a doll house or a lego building for a growing child as an indoor activity.

What’s the solution then?

As we mentioned earlier, Mr. Unnikrishnan lives in a 3BHK apartment. And the third bedroom is kept as his parents’ room cum guestroom, as his parents don’t live with him, but visit him from time to time.

So Mr. Unnikrishnan came with a very simple yet a profoundly effective one.

He got in touch with us to convert both his kid’s room and the guest-cum-parents’ room into an i-Room.

An iRooms or an Intelligent Room, as the name suggests, is the concept of making your living space intelligent by replacing not just the bed with an invisible bed, but also the entire furniture in the room with smart and efficient ones. Therefore, an iRoom usually comes with a bed, wardrobe, loft, and a working table thereby giving you the flexibility to convert the room to a bedroom, a home office, an open area for party or any other functional thing that you want to do there.

With this decision, Mr. Unnikrishnan not only made his kid’s room ready for her to move in soon in the future – a room that shall be her daughter’s own living space as well as her study and play room; but actually two play areas for her daughter at both the guest as well as the kid’s room!

Smart is Sexy !

“Ideas are like wandering sons.  They show up when you least expect them”, commented the English Philosopher Bernard Arthur Williams.

Mr. T Rangarajan and his wife Mrs. Kalayani Rangarajan had visited our stall during a 2014 Exhibition. He was so excited learning about and witnessing our innovative products that he immediately bought an i-Shelf from us right there.

Back to present day.

Mr. Rangarajan owns a Studio Apartment in Jayanagar, and when he decided to convert his SOHO (small office, home office) to a bedroom, he remembered… yes! Invisible Bed.

A studio apartment, as it is, is quite small as compared to even an 1BHK apartment, and a look at his room clearly shows that the only way he can have a bed as well as his office desk in place is by staying away from space consuming, unimaginative regular furniture. 

Of course, the i-Shelf reminded him of us and he called us and placed his orders for Invisiblebed with Storage, xTable and a display unit.

And now that he is enjoying an uncluttered, as-he-wish room, he plans to use other Futur Décor products to make his SOHO more efficient. 50 is not an old age anymore, and he is clearly way ahead in thinking as compared to many millennials around. We find this very smart and very sexy :)

How about we start the story from the end this time? Like, we tell you little tit bits about us, how sincerely we work, how we take inspiration from our daily life and how we truly want to make a difference in the lives of people, how every satisfied customer pushes us to deliver our best every time.

Such thoughts come to us when our customers point out that we hardly talk about our own products in any of our blogs. They tell us we should talk more about the quality, durability and aesthetics of our invisible beds.

While we truly appreciate your thoughts, we humbly beg to differ on this.

We don’t see this place as a platform for “blowing our own trumpet” (if we may say so). This space is about You – about all our worthy customers who have proved to be visionaries in their thinking and champions to our cause; trusted us completely with their homes; given us the opportunity to work with them and then referred us to their friends, relatives and colleagues afterwards. Do we need to prove more about ourselves? We guess not :)

As we mentioned earlier, this gives us the motivational push that we need to get going in our mission, everyday.

Our mission is not just designing and building space efficient furniture to replace the traditional ones. We aim to enhance and empower the life of each and every Indian by using our knowledge and expertise in the field of space management and efficient living - to un-clutter their homes, make available more options in using their living spaces in whatever way they want and bring the ZEN back to their life.

According to ancient science and wisdom, a clutter free spacious home brings positive energy to those living in there, transforming it into a happy home that ultimately reflects on a happy life. This sums up our vision in just two words – “Happy Living”.

You must have seen this phrase as a sign off on our emails and mails. We truly believe in happy living and know that it is genuinely possible and wouldn’t want anything less for any of you.
